CA2600 by Cherry Audio
CA2600 by Cherry Audio is a great introduction into semi-normalled patch cabling, meaning this synth works with or without patch cables. The cables overwrite the setting when they are patched. This is great for users who have yet to try patching a synth with cables. You don’t have to set everything up from scratch like a modular unit, rather just add the patching on the parts of the sound you want to customize.
The CA2600 was inspired by the ARP 2600 and this vintage flavour really comes through in the fantastic sounds you can create. There’s also a few hundred presets that will help you get acquainted with some of the sounds and effects you can achieve. Tinkering around with this plugin is very fun, with everything labelled clearly.
If you’re looking for some entertaining sound design, this could be a great plugin to put some hours into.
